The *ENTIRE* point of Hebrews 7 is of Christ's eternal priesthood as
contrasted with the corruptible, imperfect, ineffective Levitical
priesthood and how he doesn't need to daily offer up sacrifice as
"those high priests" had to (Heb 7:27).  "Now that which decayeth and
waxeth old is ready to vanish away" (Heb 8:13 -- in the context of
discussion on priesthood).

The Levitical Priesthood is GONE.  The veil was rent in twain and we
now have direct access to the throne of grace through the one mediator
and High Priest forever Jesus Christ.  Through His grace, God has
condescended to make our bodies the temple of the Holy Ghost -- the
Holy of Holies, the residence of the Shekinah Glory of God.  If we are
in Him, He is in us.

This is the most basic of basic Christian doctrine.
