Well not exactly but kind`of. let me explain....
This is in reference to my earlier prayer request.
About 10-12 years ago the local radio station gave away some Larnell
Harriss (sp) tapes. I won one. The style of music was to old for me,
I was around 12. Anyway, the tape got lost in the shuffle. A few
months ago I looked for it but could not find it and figured I had
thrown it away. Well... I bought a new jeep three weeks ago and it has
a tape player in it so I grabed a few tapes to take out to my jeep. One
was Carmen A2J, one was Mickey Mangun Bystander, and the other was some
sort of Andy Griffith tape. Tonight on the way home I reached into the
side pocket of the door and grabed a tape. It was my Larnell Harris
tape. The first song that played started in the middle and said "Your
answer to prayer is there. Rohda open the door. I was floored. The
second song was about how "sometimes life gives us words and music, that
don't quite make a song" And how God was in it after all through all
the lonely nights. and that it is not in trying but in trusting, not in
running, but resting and it is not in worrying but in praying that we
find our strength. The next song was about how we are Gods children and
that he would rather do anything than to see us suffer but things don't
always go the way we think they should, and we do suffer but we are
still his children and the last song I listened to was awsome It talked
about how God alone is the maker of the universe and how even time bows
before his thrown. It says that we spend our time trying to make life
what we think it should be, but God and God alone will control what
happens.
I know this is long, but I figured that those of you who prayed might
want to know how God chose to answer your prayer a long time before you
asked. I just can't wait to see what Is on the other side of that tape
in the morning. I still need your prayers, but I am no longer ready to
give up everuthing that I love and need now more than ever. I have a
peace that everything is going to be alright. God is in control. Both
sets of grandparents are christian, but On my fathers side (where G-pa
is sick) I am the only one who attends church, my parents have started
going everyonce in awhile but not often. My Granny (moms side) has 3
adult grandchildren (one of them married into the family) and 2 children
and their spoused that do not attend church. With three young children
in my uncle's fam. I am praying that God will work something out in our
lives because of this sickness. THe doctors told us Friday that My
grandmother has to have a clostomy within the next 2 weeks I would
appreciate it if you would keep her in your prayers also.
mercifully in His service
Sandy
