I'm technically not picky on the matter.  I'd hope some pentium
class machine to deliver a pretty fair performance value (under
some flavor of linux).  With a connection speed no less than ISDN.

It doesn't have to be a big, hairy, fire-breathing, speed demon of a
machine because a linux server is well able to accomplish all of the
necessary tasks with a minimum of hardware.  Not trying to discount
the need for a faster machine, but it just wouldn't be required to
get the job done.
