Breaking Loose

We had a special speaker this morning at church.  At the altar call I
went up and was really wanting a touch from God. 

As I worshipped God, I felt His wonderful presence envelop me. All things
were stripped away as I was awash in His Spirit. As I put down all the
things I was holding onto I realized the battle was not mine but the
Lord's.  I gave myself to Him and broke loose and was set free.  My
Wonderful God!!  How easy it is to forget that if we just yield ourselves
to Him He will overcome all obstacles for us!  I realized once again that
I can do nothing without Him nor does He even expect me to.

Why am I telling you this?  Because sometimes we feel like we are the
only ones who want to break free and touch God.  I was discussing this
with another home missionary wife the other night.  She said that she
doesn't worship in a demonstrative way alot but that she loves it when
people do and she has loved it when she did.  

  If we're honest, we need God.  Often we need Him more than we want to
admit.  I want to touch God.  I want to be touched by God and He wants to
touch me and I think we need to bust loose a little more often.

" Search me,O God,and know my heart:  try me and know my thoughts:  And
see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting."
Psalm 139:23,24
