I would imagine that your testimony could be echoed by more than just a few here.
I however never feel that I received that "eye-opening" revelation of Jesus being
God. I was a devout atheist, in my mind there was no God (as Bro. Brown mentioned
it wasn't 3 or 1 cause I knew there was none). One morning high in the mountains
of southern Colorado the Lord called me; I visit the rock that I was standing upon
when He called me annually to thank the Lord for this calling.

>From this point on I knew there was a God and studied the Bible for hours a day. I
developed my own ideas of what I had to do to be saved and how the relationship of
the "there manifestations" of the Godhead. These ideas closely mirrored the
Apostolic doctrine. Never once in all the study did I ever see how Jesus was not
God. Due to my limited exposure to preconceived notions I was actually shocked the
first time I witnessed to a person that believe in the Trinity and because of it
denied Jesus name baptism.

My revelation was not that Jesus was God, but that there was a God and when I read
His Word it told me that His name is Jesus.

On a related note, I was doing a Bible Study with a ex-member of a COG church. She
saw Jesus name baptism (sorta) but oneness escaped her. We started every Bible
Study with 3-4 verses that I would read to try and show her oneness. They never
seemed to impress her or convince her...she even stated that she needed a
revelation from God about it. On her way back from Ladies conferance one of the
Ladies read her the following Scripture:

Rev. 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are
they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made
them white in the blood of the Lamb.

This was her revelation, when they got back (11:30 PM on Saturday) she was
baptized. So I know that it takes a revelation to over come the false teachings of
the trinity.

Lord Bless;
Bro. Bill (I still don't understand how one can accept the Trinity and deny
Scripture :o( )Clifton
