If it was study then it is something that every ThD should get (they are a lot more
studied that most here). We have to study (to show thyself approved), but the truth
is a revelation that a seeking heart gets. Studing to prove "what you already know"
will not lead you to the truth. Some may get in in study, some may bet it from a
single scripture, some from many scriptures in a chart, some in prayer. I agree
that for most a foundation of scripture is used by the Lord to reveal things to us
and that with more study He will expound upon the truths, but sometimes a good
thump in the head is the best method to change a hard heart and then the person
will turn to study to see in writing what he has been shown.
