Actually the book of Rev. starts out " The revelation of Jesus Christ..."
which may or may not be applicable here.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast
rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee...." Hosea 4:6

It seems to me that many are willingly ignorant. People can be willingly
ignorant according to 2 Pet. 3:5. The revelation may start with
knowledge but people can be "Ever learning and never able to come to the
knowledge of the truth." 2 Tim. 3:7

I think people know that God is one naturally, but the mighty God in
Christ comes by revelation to those who seek.

>Revelation is a must and I beleive that all that are in the truth,

I agree it may not be a lightening bolt. Sometimes revelation comes
slowly, but I don't think people can understand that Jesus Christ is God
manifest in the flesh by knowledge only. I think people can understand
that the messiah is God in flesh without revelation but when it comes to
who Jesus is, I think *that* comes by revelation. A "Messiah" without
description (unlike Jesus) could be understood because it could fit
whatever preconceived notions we may have and could be whatever we wanted
( like the Jews who wanted someone to deliver them from the Romans.)
Jesus said many things that are hard to swallow however and for people to
really understand that He was God is not so easy.
