Bro. Shaw:
After reading your post, I'm not sure that I understand your position on the
Incarnation, but please clarify it to me before I make any further comments.
Mike:
My position is just that, Jesus Christ is the "incarnation" of the almighty
God.
(God *in* flesh.)
Bro. Shaw:
Do you not believe in the union of those natures in His manifestation as the
Son?
Mike:
You are assuming I believe in "natures" the way you do. We are trying to
explain how an infinite, boundless, omnipresent spirit, (which is hard enough
to comprehend in itself) manifests itself in the finite, limited confines of
the likeness of sinful flesh. There is no precedence. There are no
occurrences in nature we can easily use as a similitude or allegory. This is
a historical first. Never before had the fulness of the godhead dwelt in a
body. I do believe that when the spirit initially entered into that Holy
"Thing" born of a women, he suddenly had limitations he was not accustom to.
There were desires that this spirit had not had to battle before. This body
had a will of it's own. I do not believe it had it's own spirit.
Bro. Shaw:
Do you believe that the Spirit vacated the body on the cross?
Mike:
Yes.
Bro. Shaw:
How do you define the humanity of Christ?
Mike:
Christ, as defined means anointed one. Anointed what, and anointed by what?
An anointed human (the humanity part) and anointed by the Holy Ghost without
measure. The fusion of God and man was this, God was the spirit that that
particular human had.
