>Ok, lets make it more personal. Let us suppose, just for discussion sake,
that you have been approached by a female member of your church, who
disclosed some information. In discussion with your Pastor/husband, you
choose not to disclose the information to him. He reminds you that he has a
right to know and that you need tell him--- what do you do then?

In response to Bro Berger's question:
I have been faced with such situations. When I am approached with a
"please, don't tell the pastor" phrase, I remind them that HE is the
pastor, over the flock. If I feel he needs to know something, I definitely
tell him and tell the party involved that I will do so.
I do have to make sure that I do not add to or subtract details. I try to
remain as impartial as possible in retelling the story. I find the best
thing is, if I find it is indeed something that needs "pastoral
counseling", I stop the person before too much has been said and get them
to the pastor to get it worked out.
As a person with natural curiosity and the desire to want to know
everything, it is not always easy to pass things up! I thank God for a
husband who respects my God given talents and call and is not "intimidated"
by them. He is very comfortable in his call of God and allows me to
develop myself. He is very is to be "under-subjection" too!
