Choice permitted or not to women?

I think that sister has bigger problems than not 'fessing up to hubby,
like....why is she putting her problems on the street where they can be
discussed and dissected by the brethren in the pews?  This is a piddly
problem (however, I'm cynical enough to be certain someone will take up
the cause...) and it makes them both look foolish.

It also stirs the people up over the entire "power struggle" issue and
gets everyone into pharisee mode over what exactly constitutes proper
subjection.  Even the thread title is incendiary!  Good gravy!  Those
people need a spiritual life....

I ignored the initial volley in this skirmish, certain that shelling
wouldn't commence over a poor man's "Jenkins' Ear".  Yet, here I am,
thoroughly engrossed in the Nestorian struggle (which BTW, is quite
gripping) and I have to wade through the twaddle of "Dear Sister Abby".

May people restrain themselves vis-a-vis this thread out of a sincere
desire not to look like a bunch of silly geese.
