Jesus, the tent?

ME:
Before I begin, I want to apologize for one of my previous posts
which corrected a bro/sis for quoting a scripture in, what I thought
was, John and was in fact 1st John. After I had sent the post, I
found that the bro/sis had, in fact given the correct reference, and
I had misread it. My apologies! :-) Now, on to the main focus....

YOU:
God knows all but lacked the REAL experience that is needed for
compassion in a given situation. Unless you have ever experienced
what I have, then you can't REALLY understand were I'm coming from.

ME:
If this were true, God would be a liar.

Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with
the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as
we are, yet without sin.

I have seen this verse misinterpreted because of the last statement
"yet without sin." People are claiming that without bearing the
burden of sin, Christ wasn't REALLY touched with our infirmities. 2
points here.

1) Christ was tempted in all, whether he sinned or not doesn't matter.
We have the same power, just as Jesus, not to sin. Our sin nature
DOES keep us from being perfect many times, but Christ's humanity did
the same thing. Someone also made the comment that God never had the
*REAL* experience of being born of a woman...another mistake (see
Luke 1:35)

2) Jesus did bear the burden of sin...far above anything you think
YOU'VE gone through. Jesus did, by his own standards, committ the
ultimate sin. Upon the cross of calvary, He committed every sin that
would ever be committed. He bore the pain, guilt, and embarrassment
of such a sin...so much that even the Spirit within Him (the Father)
left. You will never feel this pain.

God bless!
