Mb4:
>God knows all but lacked the REAL experience that is needed for
>compassion in a given situation. Unless you have ever experienced
>what I have, then you can't REALLY understand were I'm coming from.
>

Bro Allen:
>If this were true, God would be a liar.
>
>Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with
>the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as
>we are, yet without sin.
>
>I have seen this verse misinterpreted because of the last statement
>"yet without sin." People are claiming that without bearing the
>burden of sin, Christ wasn't REALLY touched with our infirmities. 2
>points here.

>1) Christ was tempted in all, whether he sinned or not doesn't matter.
> We have the same power, just as Jesus, not to sin. Our sin nature
>DOES keep us from being perfect many times, but Christ's humanity did
>the same thing. Someone also made the comment that God never had the
>*REAL* experience of being born of a woman...another mistake (see
>Luke 1:35)

>2) Jesus did bear the burden of sin...far above anything you think
>YOU'VE gone through. Jesus did, by his own standards, committ the
>ultimate sin. Upon the cross of calvary, He committed every sin that
>would ever be committed. He bore the pain, guilt, and embarrassment
>of such a sin...so much that even the Spirit within Him (the Father)
>left. You will never feel this pain.

Me Now:

Bro Allen you have made a few very obvious mistakes in your post. You
misquoted me and missed entirely the point of my post. You made all of the
same points that I did and used my post to make them. I ask that you please
reread the posts you were responding to and a few just before them in order
to better grasp the flow of the thread. :-)

Yours in Christ,

Jeff Wescott
