If it's not too late I'ld like to make a comment about the issue of women
being in submission. Right up front, I am not married, but I have seen
enough to have some understanding of this subject, and I have dated
men who are at both extreams. The scripture says that the husband should
love the wife as Christ loves the church. To me the man has a whole lot
more responsiblity to the wife than is often presented. Because Christ
died for the church! Our pastor has asked the question, do you love your
wife enough to die for her. The husband is responsible for the spiritual
atmosphere of the home. And Jesus was a gentleman in every way. He never
forced anyone into doing what he wanted. He wants us to serve him because
we love him not because we are "in submission" to him. I have also heard
it said that when God created humans He did not take women from man's
head to be his leader, nor from his feet to be his slave, but from his
side to walk with him. I think that if both people are subject to God and
their pastor than this won't be such a big issue.
