a Biblical Reconstructionist and a Philosopher

I used to belong to Intervarsity (BC) when I was in college. I don't know about Biblical
Reconstruction. But one thing you must realize is that that organization has so many
different denominations involved that their "doctrine" is pretty much believe what ever
you want. I had been teaching a Bible Study in Intervarsity, I was on the student
staff, etc. but when I got into the Church and got the Holy Ghost and started telling
the people in my Bible Study about my experience, oh, boy, trouble started! I was asked,
and than told to step down from my position and was no longer welcome in the group.
(Thank God for the support of the saints!) Many people (me included) took the parts we
liked from different denominations and adopted them as our own, if that makes sense.
There is no real teaching in Intervarsity, it's more of a social group that calls
themselves Christian. I would caution you about argueing theory and philosophies with
someone who is not in the church...those can get bogged down in minor points that won't
make a bit of difference in the judgement.
