May I just add something that I am sure has been brought up in times past.
The term for preacher and prophet is the same in the New Testament of the
bible. It is a Greek word. And it means the same thing. It is to declare
something. Namely the word of God.
The translators however made a difference in interpretation. When it
came to men they would use the terms preach. But when it came to the women
they said prophesy. This difference is not made in the original language.
But was just one more interpolated, or at the least, misinterpreted term in
the bible.
God help us to see that the bible lists many women that were also
preachers of this great gospel. "For in Christ, there is neither Jew nor
Greek, Bond nor Free, Male nor Female." And again I say"... I perceive that
God is no respecter of persons..."
