DEBATE-ing on Higher-Fire

Forgive me for my ignorance, I don't understand all the things about two 
different channels, etc. So I may be talking about something I know 
nothing about, but I like being able to read everyone's opinion without 
having to be involved in the discussion. I do agree, however, that there 
comes a time when the thread becomes stagnant and everyone is saying the 
same thing over and over. I really don't think a time limit would be good 
because, for example, my e-mail is at work and I might not get to make 
comments before the time limit is up. As far as the rules, I thought you 
did have rules already? Maybe the moderators should be less lenient about 
what they allow to go through? Again, I may be spouting of about 
something I know nothing about...
