Many hear know, some don't, that 1997 was a hard year for my family. We
where helped greatly by people that we did not know. Christmas was hard, for
my and the Kids, not to mention myself. We made it through with help.

IDEA:
There are many needy people in our cities. This year I have suggested to our
Pastor, that we work through one of the agencies and meet the need of one
family for Christmas. I suggested that we not TRY TO WIN THEM OVER, but just
help them. There are families in all of our communities that need help. Some
due to actions outside their control, and some due to their very own
actions, but still suffering.

We need to reach out to our communities with LOVE. That does not mean that
we throw the baby out with the bath water. What it does mean, is we are all
blessed of God. We are all given many blessing daily. I think that this
Christmas we need to teach ourselves and our children that 'truly it is more
blessed to give than receive".

Just a thought from one that has been there and done that. Having seen the
mercies of God in my life.
