Idea for Christmas

Pastor, that we work through one of the agencies and meet the need of
one family for Christmas. I suggested that we not TRY TO WIN THEM
OVER, but just help them.

   This approach really works but many think if you are not preaching
it that they won't get it.  One of the largest churches in the county
takes this approach with everything.  They are known for what they do
for the community.  i.e. twice a year they sell gas from a local
station and give full service the price of the gas no matter what kind
is 10 cents a gallon.  The church members raise money to pay the
station the difference.  At Christmas time they have a stand at the
malls to wrap gifts for free and they supply the paper and tape. 
People associate the church with love and flock to it like you
wouldn't belive.  So you are on the right track just let God lead you
in it.
