Do you struggle with feelings of loneliness and depression ?
People are emotional beings and it is normal to have some emotional lows
once in a while because we are human, but no one should have to endure a
prolonged deep depression, and people need friends too.
Think - when you have a product that needs repair, the best source for info
on how to fix it is the manufacturer, right ?
- well, then why not seek
help from the "manufacturer" (God) when we as humans need fixing ?
(note: we are not against doctors, we just believe that you should
also consider giving God a chance to heal supernaturally, sometimes God might choose to
work thru doctors and that is fine, but many times God might choose to heal
supernaturally if we ask Him to, You can still go to the doctor to confirm what
is wrong and also to later confirm that you are healed. )
Now the "manufacturer's manual" for people would be the Bible, and the Bible
has guidance that should cover any need you might have, and that includes
emotional problems.
The first step would be to become born again because many times when a
person is filled with the Spirit of God they receive the healing they
need right then, sometimes people will have emotional problems that might
still require counselling because of years of past abuse and emotional pain
and there are trained counsellors who use Bible based methods to help, you
can check the "resources" link on the left side of the main page for
recommendations. (as far as friends, Jesus is of course the best friend
anyone could ever have, and also there are friendly people at our church
who would be glad to be your friend too !)
Remember that God really does care and He wants you to have real peace and joy -
"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you" I Pet. 5:7
"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds" Psalm 147:3
"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost" Rom. 14:17
So the first step is to become born again so you will be filled with the
Spirit of God and have access to the peace and joy that only He can give !
