¶ And at that¹ time shall Michael² stand up, the great³ prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall⁴ be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people⁵ shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written⁶ in the book.

And many⁷ of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life⁸, and some to shame and everlasting contempt⁹.

And they that be¹⁰ wise¹¹ shall shine¹² as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn¹³ many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

But thou, O Daniel, shut¹⁴ up the words, and seal the book, even to the¹⁵ time of the end: many¹⁶ shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

¶ Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two¹⁷, the one on this side of the bank¹⁸ of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

And one said¹⁹ to the man²⁰ clothed in linen, which was upon²¹ the waters of the river, How long²² shall it be to the end of these wonders?

And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held²³ up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth²⁴ for ever that it²⁵ shall be for a time²⁶, times, and an half²⁷; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy²⁸ people, all these things shall be finished.

And I heard, but²⁹ I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what³⁰ shall be the end of these things?

And he said, Go³¹ thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed³² up and sealed till the time of the end.

¶ Many shall be³³ purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked³⁴ shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise³⁵ shall understand.

And from the time³⁶ that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination³⁷ that maketh desolate³⁸ set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

³⁹Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

But go⁴⁰ thou thy way till the end be: for thou⁴¹ shalt rest, and stand⁴² in thy lot at the end of the days.
