Eze 7:1
The final desolation of Israel.
Eze 7:1

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Eze 7:2

Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto1 the land of Israel; An end2, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.

Eze 7:3

Now is the end come upon thee, and I3 will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge4 thee according to thy ways, and will recompense5 upon thee all thine abominations.

Eze 7:4
REWARD-PUNISHMENT

And mine6 eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but7 I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye8 shall know that I am the LORD.

Eze 7:5

9Thus saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.

Eze 7:6

An end10 is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee;11 behold,12 it is come.

Eze 7:7

The morning13 is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time14 is come, the day15 of trouble is near, and not the sounding again16 of the mountains.

Eze 7:8

Now will I shortly pour17 out my fury upon thee, and accomplish18 mine anger upon thee: and I19 will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.

Eze 7:9

And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee20 according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the LORD21 that smiteth.

Eze 7:10

Behold the day, behold, it22 is come: the morning23 is gone forth; the rod24 hath blossomed, pride25 hath budded.

Eze 7:11
RIGHTEOUS-WICKED

Violence26 is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none27 of them shall remain, nor of their multitude28, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them.

Eze 7:12

The time29 is come, the day draweth near: let30 not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for31 wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

Eze 7:13

For the seller32 shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive33: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in34 the iniquity of his life.

Eze 7:14

They have35 blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for36 my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

Eze 7:15
JUDGMENTS, GOD'S

37The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

Eze 7:16
The mournful repentance of them that escape.
Eze 7:16

But they38 that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like39 doves of the valleys, all of them mourning40, every one for his iniquity.

Eze 7:17

All hands41 shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water42.

Eze 7:18

They shall also43 gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror44 shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

Eze 7:19

They shall cast45 their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed46: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity47.

Eze 7:20
The enemies defile the sanctuary because of the Israelites' abominations.
Eze 7:20
FALSE WORSHIP

As for the beauty48 of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but49 they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them50.

Eze 7:21

51And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.

Eze 7:22

My face52 will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers53 shall enter into it, and defile it.

Eze 7:23
Under the type of a chain is shewn the miserable captivity of all orders of men.
Eze 7:23
CORRUPTION

Make a chain54: for55 the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.

Eze 7:24

Wherefore I will bring56 the worst of the heathen, and they shall57 possess their houses: I will also58 make the pomp59 of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled60.

Eze 7:25
REST-UNREST

Destruction61 cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

Eze 7:26
POVERTY-RICHES

Mischief shall62 come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then63 shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but64 the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients65.

Eze 7:27

The king66 shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will67 do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts68 will I judge them; and they69 shall know that I am the LORD.
