A type prefiguring the shameful captivity of Egypt and Ethiopia.

Assyria

In the year that Tartan1 came unto Ashdod2, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took3 it;

ISAIAH OR ESAIAS

At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah4 the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth5 from off thy loins, and put6 off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked7 and barefoot.

And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three8 years for a sign9 and wonder upon Egypt10 and upon Ethiopia;

Assyria

So shall11 the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians12 prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame13 of Egypt.

Isa 20:5

And they shall be afraid14 and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory15.

Isa 20:6
Assyria

And the inhabitant of this isle16 shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither17 we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how18 shall we escape?
