¶ Jude², the servant⁵ of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them⁶ that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved⁷ in Jesus Christ, and called⁸:

Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

¶ Beloved, when¹⁰ I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common¹¹ salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye¹² should earnestly contend for the faith which¹³ was once delivered unto the saints¹⁴.

For there are certain men crept¹⁵ in unawares, who¹⁶ were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly¹⁷ men, turning¹⁸ the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying¹⁹ the only²⁰ Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will therefore put²¹ you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having²² saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward²³ destroyed them that believed not.

And the angels²⁴ which kept not their first estate²⁵, but left their own habitation, he hath²⁶ reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto²⁸ the judgment of the great day.

Even as²⁹ Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange³⁰ flesh, are³¹ set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal³² fire.

¶ Likewise also these³³ filthy dreamers defile³⁴ the flesh, despise³⁶ dominion, and speak³⁷ evil of dignities.

Yet Michael³⁸ the archangel³⁹, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body⁴⁰ of Moses, durst⁴¹ not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord⁴² rebuke thee.

¶ But these speak⁴³ evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those⁴⁴ things they corrupt themselves.

Woe⁴⁵ unto them! for⁴⁶ they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran⁴⁷ greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished⁴⁸ in the gainsaying of Core.

These are spots⁵⁰ in your feasts⁵¹ of charity, when they feast with you, feeding⁵² themselves without fear: clouds⁵³ they are without water, carried⁵⁴ about of winds; trees⁵⁵ whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice⁵⁶ dead, plucked⁵⁸ up by the roots;

Raging⁵⁹ waves of the sea, foaming⁶⁰ out their own shame; wandering⁶¹ stars, to whom⁶² is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

And Enoch⁶³ also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold⁶⁴, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

¶ To execute⁶⁵ judgment upon all, and to convince⁶⁶ all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all⁶⁷ their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

These are murmurers⁶⁸, complainers, walking⁶⁹ after their own lusts; and their mouth⁷⁰ speaketh great swelling words, having⁷¹ men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

But, beloved, remember⁷² ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

How that they told you there⁷³ should be mockers in the last time, who⁷⁴ should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

These be they who⁷⁵ separate themselves, sensual⁷⁶, having not the Spirit.

¶ But ye, beloved, building⁷⁸ up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying⁸⁰ in the Holy Ghost,

Keep⁸¹ yourselves in⁸² the love of God, looking⁸³ for the mercy⁸⁴ of our Lord Jesus Christ unto⁸⁵ eternal life.

⁸⁶And of some have compassion, making a difference:

And others save⁸⁷ with fear, pulling⁸⁸ them out of the fire; hating⁸⁹ even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Now unto him that is able⁹⁰ to keep you from falling, and to present⁹¹ you faultless⁹² before the presence⁹³ of his glory with exceeding⁹⁴ joy,

To the only⁹⁵ wise God⁹⁶ our Saviour, be glory⁹⁷ and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
