Results of faith

We have seen above how faith can grow and multiply and become a powerful force that cannot be defeated. What are some of the other results of faith? What examples of faith can we find in the Bible?

The best place to turn to for the answer to this question is back to where we started this study: the eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews.

He 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

The first verse we have already studied. The second verse tells us that the elders, or the founding fathers of what we believe, received a good grade on their ``spiritual report card''. They won the approval of God because of their demonstrated faith.

Who were these elders? The role call runs through the genealogy of the Old Testament founding fathers, beginning with verse four:
