Hook: Tiemco TMC 7931C 4/0.
Tail: golden pheasant tail tip, same length as body, pointed downward, from one of the short red tail feathers.
Rib: 5 turns of wide flat gold tinsel, with medium orange silk floss in between, twisted to make it narrow, and fine round gold tinsel as a counter-rib.
Body: dark olive Berlin wool.
Hackle: black coque, trailing the flat gold tinsel.
Collar: golden pheasant tail, split from the shaft, 2 turns.
Wing: bronze mallard, tented and very low, horizontal style.
Head: black.
Note: Named after the "First Lady of jazz", inspired by the Lady Caroline.
