Harlequin Spey
R. J. Brown
Hook: Partridge Bartleet Supreme CS10/2 #1/0.
Tip: fine gold oval tinsel, 5 turns, at the barb.
Tag: yellow uni-floss, to the point.
Joint: black ostrich herl.
Rib: 5 turns of medium gold oval tinsel, with fine silver oval tinsel as a counter-rib.
Body: black uni-floss.
Hackle: hot orange dyed blue eared pheasant.
Throat: blue peacock body feather.
Wing: teal with bronze mallard as a roof.
Cheeks: jungle cock.
Topping: 2 golden pheasant crest feathers.
Head: red, with black ostrich herl.
Note: Named because it looks like a medieval court jester. I classified this as a Spey rather than a Dee because it has no tail. It certainly has many Dee characteristics.
