with fine round gold tinsel in between.

| | Hackle: | brown Spey cock substitute, from the front,
tied in by the tip, wound contrary to the ribs,
and secured by the second rib.
| | Collar: | guinea.
| | Wing: | bronze mallard, tented and very low, horizontal style.
| | Head: | black.
| | Note: | A classic looking modern pattern,
named after the Root River, which I frequently fish.
