Re: ADMIN: Bandwidth used by moos?

We at BayMOO were acused of taking up 50% of the bandwidth of the local
ethernet network. After a meeting with the computing facilities managers
and some testing, we found out that the problem was comming from a
SQE/heartbeat conflict on our machine's ethernet card and the hub it was
attached to. After fixing it, they measured our bandwidth and found it
only occupied 5% of the total ethernet bandwith, which is 10.5 megabits/sec.

BayMOO is a medium-large MOO, running an average of 30 simultaneous
connections.
