Jer 45:1
Baruch being dismayed,
Jer 45:1
JEREMIAH

The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch1 the son of Neriah, when2 he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the3 fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,

Jer 45:2

Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto4 thee, O Baruch;

Jer 45:3
SIGHING

Thou didst say, Woe5 is me now! for the LORD hath added6 grief to my sorrow; I fainted7 in my sighing, and I find no rest.

Jer 45:4
Jeremiah instructs and comforts him.
Jer 45:4

Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which8 I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.

Jer 45:5

And seekest9 thou great things for thyself? seek10 them not: for, behold, I will bring11 evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life12 will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.
