He, that being often reproved1 hardeneth2 his neck, shall3 suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

When the righteous4 are in authority5, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

In the transgression12 of an evil man there is a snare: but13 the righteous doth sing and rejoice.

TEMPTATION

Scornful16 men bring a city into a snare17: but wise18 men turn away wrath.

19If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.

The bloodthirsty20 hate the upright: but21 the just seek his soul.

22A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

Whoso is partner49 with a thief hateth50 his own soul: he51 heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.

The fear52 of man bringeth a snare: but whoso53 putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe54.

Many seek55 the ruler's favour56; but every man's judgment cometh from the LORD.

JUSTICE-INJUSTICE

57An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.
