Ps 122:1	David professes his joy for the church;
Ps 122:1 •WORSHIP, TRUE AND FALSE	¶ *A Song of degrees of David.* I was glad² when they said unto me, Let us go³ into the house of the LORD.
Ps 122:2 Jerusalem	⁴Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
Ps 122:3 Jerusalem	Jerusalem is builded⁵ as a city that is compact together:
Ps 122:4 •WORSHIP, TRUE AND FALSE	Whither⁶ the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony⁷ of Israel, to give⁸ thanks unto the name of the LORD.
Ps 122:5	For there⁹ are set¹⁰ thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
Ps 122:6	and prays for the peace thereof.
Ps 122:6 •PROSPERITY-ADVERSITY Jerusalem	¶ Pray¹¹ for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall¹² prosper that love thee.
Ps 122:7	Peace¹³ be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces¹⁴.
Ps 122:8	¹⁵For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
Ps 122:9	Because of the house¹⁶ of the LORD our God I will seek¹⁷ thy good.
