Ps 146:1
The Psalmist vows perpetual praises to God.
Ps 146:1

Praise ye the LORD1. Praise the LORD2, O my soul.

Ps 146:2

While I live3 will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

He exhorts not to trust in man.

Put4 not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help5.

His breath6 goeth forth, he returneth7 to his earth; in that very day his thoughts8 perish.

God, for his power, justice, mercy, and kingdom, is only worthy to be trusted.

HOPE-DESPAIR

Happy9 is he that hath the God10 of Jacob for his help, whose11 hope is in the LORD his God:

TRUTH-FALSEHOOD

Which made heaven12, and earth, the sea13, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth14 for ever:

Which executeth15 judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food16 to the hungry. The LORD looseth17 the prisoners:

LOVE-HATRED

The LORD openeth18 the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth19 them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth20 the righteous:

Ps 146:9
PROVIDENCE DIVINE
WIDOW AND FATHERLESS

The LORD preserveth21 the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way22 of the wicked he turneth upside down.

Ps 146:10
Zion

The LORD shall reign23 for ever, even thy God24, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.
