Ps 148:1
The psalmist exhorts the celestial,
Ps 148:1

Praise ye the LORD1. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.

Praise ye him, all his angels2: praise ye him, all his hosts3.

Ps 148:3
NATURE'S PRAISE

Praise ye him, sun4 and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.

Ps 148:4

Praise him, ye heavens5 of heavens, and ye waters6 that be above the heavens.

Ps 148:5

Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he7 commanded, and they were created.

Ps 148:6

He hath also8 stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

Praise the LORD from the earth9, ye dragons10, and all deeps:

Fire11, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy12 wind fulfilling his word:

Mountains13, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

Ps 148:10

Beasts14, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl15:

Ps 148:11
and the rational creatures to praise God.

Kings16 of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:

Ps 148:12
HOME

Both young men17, and maidens; old men, and children:

Ps 148:13

Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name18 alone is excellent19; his glory20 is above the earth and heaven.

Ps 148:14

He also exalteth21 the horn of his people, the praise22 of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people23 near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.
