Ps 20:1
The church blesses the king in his exploits;
Ps 20:1

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The LORD hear1 thee in the day of trouble; the name2 of the God3 of Jacob defend4 thee;

Ps 20:2
Zion

Send thee help5 from the sanctuary, and strengthen6 thee out of Zion;

Ps 20:3

Remember7 all thy offerings, and accept8 thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

Ps 20:4

9Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

Ps 20:5
BANNERS

We will rejoice10 in thy salvation, and in11 the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

Ps 20:6

Now12 know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will13 hear him from his holy heaven14 with15 the saving strength of his right hand.

Ps 20:7
and expresses her confidence in God's succour.

CHARIOTS
FAITH-UNBELIEF

Some trust16 in chariots, and some in horses: but we17 will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Ps 20:8
EXALTATION-ABASEMENT

They18 are brought down and fallen: but we19 are risen, and stand upright.

Ps 20:9

Save20, LORD: let21 the king hear us when we call.
