Ps 41:1	The recompence of the charitable.
Ps 41:1 •BEATITUDES •POVERTY-RICHES •PROMISES, DIVINE	¶ *To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.* Blessed² is he that considereth the poor³: the LORD⁴ will deliver him in time of trouble⁵.
Ps 41:2 •BATTLE OF LIFE	The LORD will preserve⁶ him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed⁷ upon the earth: and thou wilt not⁸ deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
Ps 41:3 •PROMISES, DIVINE •PROMISES TO THE MERCIFUL AND BENEVOLENT	The LORD will strengthen⁹ him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make¹⁰ all his bed in his sickness.
Ps 41:4	David complains of his enemies' treachery.
Ps 41:4 •CONFESSION-DENIAL •HEALTH-DISEASE	I said, LORD¹¹, be merciful unto me: heal¹² my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
Ps 41:5	¶ Mine¹³ enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name¹⁴ perish?
Ps 41:6 •INIQUITY	And if he come to see me, he speaketh¹⁵ vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when¹⁶ he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
Ps 41:7 •SILENCE-SPEECH	All that hate me whisper¹⁷ together against¹⁸ me: against me do they devise my hurt¹⁹.
Ps 41:8	An evil disease²⁰, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and²¹ now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
Ps 41:9 •BETRAYAL	Yea,²² mine own familiar friend²³, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up²⁴ his heel against me.
Ps 41:10	He flees to God for succour.
Ps 41:10	¶ But thou, O LORD, be merciful²⁵ unto me, and raise me up, that²⁶ I may requite them.
Ps 41:11	By this I know that thou favourest me, because²⁷ mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
Ps 41:12 •BUSINESS LIFE •PROVIDENCE DIVINE	And as for me, thou²⁸ upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest²⁹ me before thy face for ever.
Ps 41:13	Blessed³⁰ be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen³¹, and Amen.
