Ps 50:1
The majesty of God in the church.
Ps 50:1

A Psalm of Asaph. The mighty2 God, even3 the LORD, hath spoken4, and called5 the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

Ps 50:2
Zion

Out6 of Zion, the perfection7 of beauty, God8 hath shined.

Ps 50:3
FIRE

Our9 God shall come, and shall not keep10 silence: a fire11 shall devour before him, and it shall12 be very tempestuous round about him.

Ps 50:4

He shall call13 to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge14 his people.

Ps 50:5
His order to gather his saints.
Ps 50:5

Gather15 my saints16 together unto me; those that have made17 a covenant with me by sacrifice.

Ps 50:6

And the heavens18 shall declare his righteousness: for God19 is judge himself. Selah20.

Ps 50:7
The pleasure of God is not in ceremonies,
Ps 50:7

Hear21, O my22 people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify23 against thee: I am24 God, even thy God.

Ps 50:8

25I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.

OFFERINGS

26I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

FORESTS
STEWARDSHIP-OWNERSHIP

For every27 beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle28 upon a thousand hills.

Ps 50:11

I know29 all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild30 beasts of the field are mine31.

Ps 50:12

If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world32 is mine, and the fulness33 thereof.

Ps 50:13

Will I eat34 the flesh35 of bulls36, or drink37 the blood38 of goats39?

Ps 50:14
but in sincerity of obedience.

COVENANTS AND VOWS
GRATITUDE-INGRATITUDE

Offer40 unto God thanksgiving; and pay41 thy vows unto the most High:

Ps 50:15
PROMISES, DIVINE

And call42 upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver43 thee, and thou shalt glorify44 me.

Ps 50:16

But unto the wicked45 God saith, What46 hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest47 take my covenant in thy mouth?

Seeing thou hatest48 instruction, and castest49 my words behind thee.

Ps 50:18
CONNIVANCE

When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst50 with him, and hast been partaker51 with adulterers.

Ps 50:19

Thou givest53 thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue54 frameth deceit.

SILENCE-SPEECH
SILENCE-SPEECH

Thou sittest and speakest55 against thy brother; thou slanderest56 thine own57 mother's son.

Ps 50:21
COMMENDATION-REPROOF

These things hast thou done, and I kept58 silence; thou thoughtest59 that I was altogether such an one as thyself:60 but I will61 reprove thee, and set62 them in order before thine eyes.

Ps 50:22
REMEMBRANCE-FORGETFULNESS

Now consider63 this, ye that forget64 God, lest I tear65 you in pieces, and there be none66 to deliver.

Ps 50:23

Whoso67 offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him68 that ordereth his conversation69 aright will I shew the salvation70 of God.
