¶ In thee, O LORD, do I¹ put my trust: let me² never be put to confusion.

Deliver me in thy³ righteousness, and cause⁴ me to escape: incline⁵ thine ear unto me, and save me.

Be thou my strong habitation⁶, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast⁷ given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock⁸ and my fortress.

Deliver me, O my God, out of the⁹ hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

For thou¹⁰ art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust¹¹ from my youth.

By thee¹² have I been holden up from the womb: thou art¹³ he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise¹⁴ shall be continually of thee.

I am as a wonder¹⁵ unto many; but thou art¹⁶ my strong refuge.

¹⁷Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

Cast¹⁸ me not off in the time of old age¹⁹; forsake me not when²⁰ my strength faileth.

¶ For mine enemies speak against me; and they²¹ that lay wait for²² my soul take²³ counsel together,

Saying, God²⁴ hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there²⁵ is none to deliver him.

O God²⁶, be not far from me: O my God, make²⁷ haste for my help.

Let them be²⁸ confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered²⁹ with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

¶ But³⁰ I will hope continually, and will yet praise³¹ thee more and more.

My mouth³² shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day³³; for I know³⁴ not the numbers thereof.

I will go³⁵ in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make³⁶ mention of thy righteousness³⁷, even of thine only.

O God, thou hast³⁸ taught me from my youth: and hitherto³⁹ have I declared thy wondrous works.

Now⁴⁰ also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength⁴² unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.

Thy righteousness⁴³ also, O God, is very high, who hast⁴⁴ done great things: O God, who is like⁴⁵ unto thee!

¶ Thou, which⁴⁶ hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken⁴⁷ me again, and shalt bring⁴⁸ me up again from the depths of the earth.

Thou shalt increase⁴⁹ my greatness, and comfort⁵⁰ me on every side.

I will also praise thee with the psaltery⁵¹, even⁵² thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou⁵³ Holy One of Israel.

My lips⁵⁴ shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul⁵⁵, which thou hast redeemed.

My tongue⁵⁶ also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they⁵⁷ are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
