Knock Out Spey

Hook: Partridge Bartleet CS10/1G #1/0 gold.
Tip: fine silver oval tinsel, 5 turns, at the point.
Tag: blue silk floss, as wide as from the barb to the point.
Rib: wide gold oval tinsel, 4 turns, with narrow silver oval as a counter-rib.
Body: back 1/2 claret silk floss, front 1/2 UV white ice dub, using Syd Glasso's split floss technique.
Hackle: natural blue eared pheasant, from the front, tied in by the tip, and secured by the counter-rib.
Collar: claret dyed guinea.
Wing: fluorescent cerise dyed bronze mallard, tented and low, horizontal style.
Head: claret.
Note: Named for what it can do to the fish.
