Ca 3:1 The church's fight and victory in temptation. Ca 3:1 ¶ By night1 on my bed I sought him whom2 my soul loveth: I sought him, but3 I found him not. Ca 3:2 I will rise4 now, and go about the city in the streets5, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought6 him, but I found him not. Ca 3:3 The watchmen7 that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw8 ye him whom my soul loveth? Ca 3:4 It was but9 a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held10 him, and would not let him go, until I had11 brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me. Ca 3:5 Jerusalem 12I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please. Ca 3:6 The church glories in Christ. Ca 3:6 •FRANKINCENSE ¶ Who is this13 that cometh out of the wilderness like14 pillars of smoke, perfumed15 with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant? Ca 3:7 •BEDS ¶ Behold his bed16, which is Solomon's; threescore17 valiant men are about it, of the valiant of Israel. Ca 3:8 They all18 hold swords, being expert in war: every man hath his sword upon his thigh because19 of fear in the night. Ca 3:9 Lebanon King Solomon made himself a chariot20 of the wood of Lebanon. Ca 3:10 Jerusalem ¶21He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst22 thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem. Ca 3:11 Zion Go23 forth, O ye24 daughters of Zion, and behold25 king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother26 crowned him in the day of his27 espousals, and in the day of the28 gladness of his heart.
