Pr 12:1
Maxims of wisdom; distinguishing the righteous from the wicked by their thoughts, words, and works; noting the different event of their conduct; and teaching discretion both in temporal and spiritual things.

COMMENDATION-REPROOF
INSTRUCTION

Whoso loveth1 instruction loveth knowledge: but he that2 hateth reproof is brutish.

FAVOUR-DISFAVOUR
PLANS AND DEVICES OF MEN

A good3 man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man4 of wicked devices will he condemn.

A man shall not be established5 by wickedness: but the root6 of the righteous shall not be moved.

WOMEN
WOMEN

A virtuous7 woman is a crown to her husband: but she8 that maketh ashamed is as9 rottenness in his bones.

TRUTH-FALSEHOOD

The thoughts10 of the righteous are right: but the counsels11 of the wicked are deceit.

The words12 of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth13 of the upright shall deliver them.

RIGHTEOUS-WICKED

The wicked14 are overthrown, and are not: but the house15 of the righteous shall stand.

HONOUR-DISHONOUR
PERVERSENESS

A man shall be commended16 according to his wisdom: but he17 that is of a perverse heart18 shall be despised.

He that is19 despised20, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.

KINDNESS-CRUELTY

A righteous21 man regardeth the life of his beast: but22 the tender mercies23 of the wicked are cruel.

DISCERNMENT-DULLNESS

He that tilleth24 his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth25 vain persons is void of understanding.

The wicked desireth26 the net27 of evil men: but the root28 of the righteous yieldeth fruit.

RIGHTEOUS-WICKED

The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips29: but30 the just shall come out of trouble.

A man shall be satisfied31 with good by the fruit of his mouth: and32 the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.

PATHWAY OF SIN
SELF-JUSTIFICATION-SELF-CONDEMNATION

The way33 of a fool is right in his own eyes: but34 he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

A fool's35 wrath is presently36 known: but a prudent man covereth shame.

WITNESSES, FALSE

He that37 speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but38 a false witness deceit.

SILENCE-SPEECH

There is that39 speaketh like40 the piercings of a sword: but41 the tongue of the wise is health.

TRUTH-FALSEHOOD

The lip42 of truth shall be established for ever: but43 a lying tongue is but for a moment.

WAR-PEACE

Deceit44 is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but45 to the counsellors of peace is joy.

There shall no46 evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled47 with mischief.

TRUTH-FALSEHOOD

Lying48 lips are abomination to the LORD: but49 they that deal truly are his delight.

A prudent50 man concealeth knowledge: but51 the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.

The hand52 of the diligent shall bear rule: but53 the slothful54 shall be under tribute.

Heaviness55 in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but56 a good word maketh it glad.

Pr 12:26

The righteous57 is more excellent58 than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.

HUNTERS

The slothful59 man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but60 the substance of a diligent man is precious.

LIFE-DEATH
