Ps 129:1	An exhortation to praise God for saving Israel in their great afflictions.
Ps 129:1	¶ *A Song of degrees.* Many² a time have they afflicted me from³ my youth, may⁴ Israel now say:
Ps 129:2	Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have⁵ not prevailed against me.
Ps 129:3	The plowers⁶ plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.
Ps 129:4	The LORD⁷ is righteous: he hath cut asunder⁸ the cords of the wicked.
Ps 129:5	The haters of the church are cursed.
Ps 129:5 Zion	¶ Let them all be confounded⁹ and turned back that hate Zion.
Ps 129:6	Let them be as the grass¹⁰ upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:
Ps 129:7 •AGRICULTURE-HORTICULTURE	Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth¹¹ sheaves his bosom.
Ps 129:8 •BLESSINGS-AFFLICTIONS	Neither do they which go by say, The blessing¹² of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
