Ps 137:1	The constancy of the Jews in captivity.
Ps 137:1 •CHEERFULNESS-DESPONDENCY •HOME •MEMORIES, PAINFUL •NATION, THE •NATION, THE •WEEPING Zion Babylon	¶ By the rivers² of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept⁴, when we remembered Zion.
Ps 137:2 •HOME •MUSIC •TREES	We hanged⁵ our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
Ps 137:3 •HOME Zion	For there⁶ they that carried us away captive required of us a song⁷; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion⁸.
Ps 137:4 •HOME	How shall⁹ we sing the LORD'S song in a strange land¹⁰?
Ps 137:5 •HOME Jerusalem	If I forget¹¹ thee, O Jerusalem, let my right¹² hand forget her cunning.
Ps 137:6 •HOME Jerusalem	If I do not remember thee, let my tongue¹³ cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer¹⁴ not Jerusalem above my chief joy¹⁵.
Ps 137:7	The prophet curses Edom and Babel.
Ps 137:7 •IMPRECATIONS Jerusalem	¶ Remember¹⁶, O LORD, the children¹⁷ of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it,¹⁸ rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
Ps 137:8 •BABYLON Babylon	O daughter¹⁹ of Babylon, who art²⁰ to be destroyed²¹; happy shall he be, that rewardeth²² thee as thou hast served us.
Ps 137:9 •MEEKNESS-RETALIATION	Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth²³ thy little ones against the stones²⁴.
