Ps 138:1
David praises God for the truth of his word.
Ps 138:1

A Psalm of David. I will praise2 thee with my whole3 heart: before4 the gods5 will I sing praise unto thee.

Ps 138:2
TEMPLES

I will worship toward6 thy holy temple, and praise7 thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast8 magnified thy word above all thy name.

Ps 138:3

In the day9 when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst10 me with strength in my soul.

Ps 138:4
He prophesies that the kings of the earth shall praise God.
Ps 138:4

All the kings11 of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear12 the words of thy mouth.

Ps 138:5

Yea, they shall13 sing in the ways of the LORD: for great14 is the glory of the LORD.

Though15 the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud16 he knoweth afar off17.

He professes his confidence in God.

PROMISES, DIVINE

Though I walk18 in the midst of trouble, thou wilt19 revive me: thou shalt stretch20 forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right21 hand shall save me.

Ps 138:8

The LORD will perfect22 that which concerneth me: thy mercy23, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake24 not the works of thine own hands.
