David describes a natural man.
Ps 14:1
FAITH-UNBELIEF
NATION, THE

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool1 hath said in his heart, There is no2 God. They are3 corrupt, they have done abominable4 works, there5 is none that doeth good.

Ps 14:2

The LORD6 looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any7 that did understand, and seek8 God.

Ps 14:3
NATION, THE
SIN-SAVIOUR

They are all gone9 aside, they are all together become filthy10: there11 is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Ps 14:4
He convinces the wicked by the light of their conscience.
Ps 14:4

Have12 all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up13 my people as they eat bread, and14 call not upon the LORD.

COURAGE-FEAR

There were15 they in great fear: for God16 is in the generation17 of the righteous.

Ps 14:6
PROMISES, DIVINE

Ye18 have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD19 is his refuge.

Ps 14:7
He glories in the salvation of God.
Ps 14:7
Zion

Oh20 that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
