Ps 46:1	The confidence which the church has in God.
Ps 46:1 •BATTLE OF LIFE •WEAKNESS-POWER	¶ *To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song² upon Alamoth³.* God is our refuge⁴ and strength, a very⁵ present help in trouble.
Ps 46:2 •COURAGE-FEAR •FAITH-UNBELIEF	Therefore will⁶ not we fear, though⁷ the earth be removed, and though the mountains⁸ be carried into the midst of the sea⁹;
Ps 46:3	Though the waters¹⁰ thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains¹¹ shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
Ps 46:4 •JERUSALEM •RIVERS, SPIRITUAL	There is a river¹², the streams whereof shall make glad the city¹³ of God, the holy¹⁴ place of the tabernacles of the most¹⁵ High.
Ps 46:5 •SECURITY-INSECURITY	God is¹⁶ in the midst of her; she¹⁷ shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that¹⁸ right early.
Ps 46:6	¶ The heathen¹⁹ raged, the kingdoms²⁰ were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth²¹ melted.
Ps 46:7	The LORD²² of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge²³. Selah.
Ps 46:8	An exhortation to behold it.
Ps 46:8	Come²⁴, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations²⁵ he hath made in the earth.
Ps 46:9 •WAR-PEACE	He maketh²⁶ wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh²⁷ the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth²⁸ the chariot in the fire.
Ps 46:10 •QUIETNESS-TUMULT	¶ Be still²⁹, and know³⁰ that I am God: I will be³¹ exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Ps 46:11	The LORD of hosts is with us; the God³² of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
