Ps 47:1
The nations are exhorted cheerfully to entertain the kingdom of Christ.
Ps 47:1
JOY-SORROW

To the chief Musician, A Psalm for2 the sons of Korah. O clap3 your hands, all ye people; shout4 unto God with the voice of triumph.

Ps 47:2
MOST HIGH
SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD

For the LORD most high is terrible5; he is a great6 King over all the earth.

Ps 47:3

He shall subdue7 the people under us, and the nations under our feet8.

Ps 47:4

He shall choose9 our inheritance for us, the excellency10 of Jacob whom11 he loved. Selah.

Ps 47:5

God12 is gone up with a shout13, the LORD with the sound14 of a trumpet.

Ps 47:6

Sing praises to God15, sing praises: sing praises unto our King16, sing praises.

Ps 47:7

For God is the King17 of all the earth: sing18 ye praises with understanding19.

Ps 47:8

God reigneth20 over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne21 of his holiness.

Ps 47:9
EXALTATION-ABASEMENT

The princes22 of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God23 of Abraham: for the shields24 of the earth belong unto God: he is25 greatly exalted.
