Ps 48:1 The ornaments and privileges of the church. Ps 48:1 ¶ A Song and Psalm for2 the sons of Korah. Great3 is the LORD, and greatly4 to be praised in the city5 of our God, in the mountain6 of his holiness. Ps 48:2 •JERUSALEM Mount Zion Beautiful7 for situation, the joy8 of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides9 of the north, the city10 of the great King. Ps 48:3 11God is known in her palaces for a refuge. Ps 48:4 12For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together. Ps 48:5 They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were13 troubled, and hasted away. Ps 48:6 Fear14 took hold upon them there, and pain15, as of a woman in travail. Ps 48:7 Tarshish Thou breakest16 the ships17 of Tarshish with an east18 wind. Ps 48:8 ¶ As we19 have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD20 of hosts, in the city of our God21: God will establish it for ever. Selah. Ps 48:9 •MIND, CARNAL-SPIRITUAL We have thought22 of thy lovingkindness23, O God, in the24 midst of thy temple. Ps 48:10 •RIGHTEOUSNESS-UNRIGHTEOUSNESS ¶ According25 to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right26 hand is full of righteousness. Ps 48:11 Mount Zion Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters27 of Judah be glad, because28 of thy judgments. Ps 48:12 Zion Walk29 about Zion, and go round about her: tell30 the towers thereof. Ps 48:13 Mark ye well31 her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye32 may tell it to the generation following. Ps 48:14 •GUIDANCE For this God33 is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide34 even unto death.
