Ps 61:1
David flees to God upon his former experience.
Ps 61:1

To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David. Hear2 my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

Ps 61:2
EARNESTNESS-INDIFFERENCE

From3 the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart4 is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock5 that is higher than I.

Ps 61:3

For thou6 hast been a shelter for me, and a strong7 tower from the enemy.

Ps 61:4
He vows perpetual service unto him, because of his promises.
Ps 61:4

I will abide8 in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust9 in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

Ps 61:5
INHERITANCE

For thou, O God, hast heard10 my vows: thou hast given me the heritage11 of those that fear thy name.

Ps 61:6

Thou wilt prolong the king's life12: and his years as many generations13.

Ps 61:7

He shall abide14 before God for ever: O prepare15 mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

Ps 61:8
DUTY

So will I sing16 praise unto thy name for ever, that I17 may daily perform my vows.
