Ps 63:1 David's thirst for God. Ps 63:1 •DESIRE-SATISFACTION •DESIRE-SATISFACTION •DROUGHT-SHOWERS •JEHOVAH CHOSEN, AS GOD ¶ A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou2 art my God; early3 will I seek thee: my soul4 thirsteth for thee, my flesh5 longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is6; Ps 63:2 To see7 thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the8 sanctuary. Ps 63:3 •LOVINGKINDNESS ¶ Because9 thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips10 shall praise thee. Ps 63:4 His manner of blessing God. Ps 63:4 •HANDS, LIFTING UP OF, IN PRAYER AND PRAISE Thus11 will I bless thee while I live: I will lift12 up my hands in thy name. Ps 63:5 •DESIRE-SATISFACTION My soul13 shall be satisfied as with marrow14 and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: Ps 63:6 •MIND, CARNAL-SPIRITUAL •REMEMBRANCE-FORGETFULNESS 15When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Ps 63:7 •PROVIDENCE DIVINE ¶ Because16 thou hast been my help, therefore17 in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. Ps 63:8 My soul18 followeth19 hard after thee: thy20 right hand upholdeth me. Ps 63:9 His confidence of his enemies' destruction, and his own safety. Ps 63:9 But those that seek21 my soul, to destroy it, shall go22 into the lower parts of the earth. Ps 63:10 •ANIMALS •PROVIDENCE DIVINE ¶ They shall fall23 by the sword: they shall be a portion24 for foxes. Ps 63:11 •SILENCE-SPEECH •TRUTH-FALSEHOOD But25 the king26 shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth27 by him shall glory: but the mouth28 of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
