Ps 7:1
David prays against the malice of his enemies, professing his innocency.
Ps 7:1
SUFFERING FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS SAKE

Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto the LORD, concerning the words2 of Cush3 the Benjamite. O4 LORD my God, in5 thee do I put my trust: save6 me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:

Ps 7:2

Lest7 he tear my soul like8 a lion, rending9 it in pieces, while10 there is none to deliver.

Ps 7:3

O LORD my God, if I12 have done this; if there13 be iniquity in my hands;

Ps 7:4

If I14 have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have15 delivered him that without16 cause is mine enemy:)

Ps 7:5

Let17 the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread18 down my life upon the earth, and lay19 mine honour in the dust. Selah20.

Ps 7:6
AWAKENING, DIVINE

Arise21, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up22 thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake23 for me to the24 judgment that thou hast commanded.

Ps 7:7

So25 shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return26 thou on high.

Ps 7:8

The LORD27 shall judge28 the people: judge me, O LORD, according29 to my righteousness, and according to mine30 integrity that is in me.

REINS
TESTS, SPIRITUAL

Oh31 let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but32 establish the just: for33 the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

Ps 7:10
By faith he sees his defence, and the destruction of his enemies.
Ps 7:10
UPRIGHTNESS, REWARD OF

My34 defence is of God, which35 saveth the upright in heart.

Ps 7:11
WRATH-ANGER

God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

Ps 7:12
THREATENINGS, OF GOD AGAINST THE WICKED

If37 he turn not, he will38 whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

Ps 7:13
ARROWS, GOD'S

He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth39 his arrows against the persecutors40.

Ps 7:14

41Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

Ps 7:15

He made42 a pit, and digged it, and is43 fallen into the ditch which he made.

Ps 7:16
REWARD-PUNISHMENT

44His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

Ps 7:17
MOST HIGH

I will praise the LORD according45 to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most46 high.
